Free Elemental Analysis and Total Organic Carbon Seminar in September 2017

Elementar UK is hosting a full-day seminar – UK Elemental Analysis and Total Organic Carbon Seminar 2017 – at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester, UK on 5th September 2017.

The seminar, which is free to attend, is split into two parts: the morning session (10am – 1pm BST) focuses on the analysis of total organic carbon (TOC), while the afternoon session (2pm – 5pm BST) focuses on elemental analysis.

Elementar is an international manufacturer of a suite of elemental analysers and TOC instruments. These analytical techniques are extensively used across the chemical, environmental, food and agricultural sectors to determine the concentration of the elements, carbon, nitrogen, sulphur, oxygen and nitrogen in a broad range of different sample types giving insight into chemical purity, carbon in wastewater, protein analysis in food stuffs and soil quality as well as many others.

Application and product experts from Elementar UK are running the seminar to introduce these applications and to encourage best practice for optimising instrument performance, data quality and instrument lifetime. The event is ideal for anyone that uses, or intends to use, any brand of elemental analyser and TOC instrumentation.

The full meeting agenda for the 5th September is as follows:

TOC Agenda (10am – 1pm)

Selecting the most suitable TOC Instrument for your application

Maintaining clean blanks

Calibration strategies

Analysing samples containing particulate

Current developments for TOC – DIN 19539, carbon speciation by cost saving temperature ramping method
